If you tune into local media daily, you’ve probably been inundated with reports of teenagers and young adults causing havoc in Downtown St. Louis. The city lacks recreational activities for that demographic, so we took to the streets to hear how they feel about the bad rap they have been receiving. In this upcoming series Voices of the Future, we speak directly with the youth to get their perspective on things.
We encourage everyone to tune in and listen to what the youth has to say. This series is an important opportunity to hear the voices of the future and to better understand the issues they face. It is the first step in creating real solutions to the challenges facing the youth in St. Louis.
We hope that by listening and understanding their perspectives, we can help to create systemic change that improves the lives of all young people in our city. This video series is just the beginning of a larger effort to ensure that the future of St. Louis is bright and equitable for everyone.
