*Maybe In Nirvana* short film by Smino is a creative extension of his 2024 album of the same name, released on December 6, 2024, through his independent label Zero Fatigue. Directed by Smino and City James, with production by BASEWOOD under the EVEN banner, the film explores themes of consciousness and self-discovery, centered around the question, “Do you know why you’re here?” It stars Smino and his tour mate Samara Cyn, with the narrative driven by a cosmic eye drop that guides the characters toward unlocking their innermost truths. The film, just under eight minutes long, is soundtracked by the title track from the album, creating a trippy, immersive experience that complements Smino’s genre-blending hip-hop style.
